Recording openings and added loads in a truss enquiry

Unmentioned openings or loads can invalidate assumptions and trigger late redesign.

Updated 2026-09-10

Mark every interruption

Show openings, shafts, flues, dormers, rooflights and service routes on current plans with dimensions and location references.

List known loads

Record roof and ceiling materials plus tanks, plant, solar equipment, access platforms and intended attic use. Ask the designer to confirm assumptions.

Control later changes

Send proposed changes back to the competent designer before cutting, drilling, loading or altering a truss. Keep written revised information with the project.
