Delivery planning should happen while the supplier can still respond to constraints, not when the vehicle arrives.

Map the route
Record road width, gates, turning, gradients, overhead restrictions, neighbours and delivery-hour limits. Give the supplier current site contact details.
Allocate unloading and storage
Agree who provides lifting equipment and competent labour, where trusses will be landed and how they will be supported and protected before installation.
Coordinate readiness
Confirm supporting construction, access equipment, bracing materials and weather plan. HSE guidance requires roof work and manual handling risks to be planned and controlled.
